One of the most fascinating elements of attending an orchestral performance occurs before it even begins. Dozens of elegantly dressed musicians holding priceless instruments, tune their instruments simultaneously with no rhyme or reason. Silence ensues. The conductor walks in and shortly thereafter, the air explodes with magic. Each distinctive element, often capable of its own masterpiece, quickly shares a common musical heart with its neighbors, and transforms the whole into a unified, transcendent experience.

The 2021 growing season started as a classic drought year, and what we thought would be an extremely early harvest. We had lower than average rainfall during the winter, and not a drop of rain from April through October. The arrival of more moderate weather in August and September, allowed us to wait for great flavor development. Although we had a later finish than we expected, the mid-October harvest end still qualifies as an early harvest. Our yields were lower, but the quality was incredible with lots of color, concentration, and beautiful aromatics.

This majestic blend is fruit and floral driven, smooth and full-bodied with supple tannins and a beautiful round finish. This wine is super expressive with vibrant aromas of blackberry, cassis, and vanilla with hints of violets and tar.
