At Chimney Rock, we have come to believe that life and art actually live in perfect balance with each other. On the north side of our original barrel room resides a massive allegorical frieze of Ganymede, cup bearer to the gods. In the late afternoon, when the sun lights the curves of the figure, in its stark white grandeur, it is easy to see why our Ganymede vineyard was named after the mythical figure. Art has come to inspire life at Chimney Rock in the form of this vineyard and wine. The 2018 vintage brought “the cool” back. Cool vintages deliver many advantages in crafting Cabernet Sauvignon. There is a freshness and a layered depth to the wines that is delightful. This cool vintage will be one to remember.COLOR: Deep purple red
AROMA: This wine is very expressive with bountiful aromas of black currant, mocha, along with a subtle hint of violets and mint.
FLAVOR: This wine is graceful and full-bodied. The front palate is loaded with blackberry and mid palate is dense and powerful, ending with beautifully polished tannins and a silky finish
